Graduate Scheme

Engineering Graduates embarking on our Graduate Scheme are an integral part of the dynamics of the company. We believe by investing in and developing educated talent we will have a stream of engineers who are capable of applying theoretical knowledge, and who have an understanding of our technology, business needs and industry. They will be able to meet our customers’ needs, and contribute to the overall success of our business.

The scheme aims to give graduates the support they need to develop their technical knowledge whilst also giving them an all rounded experience of the business. A strong appreciation of commercial and contractual issues is also important within this role.

We embrace the enthusiasm of graduates who have an appetite to learn; to absorb knowledge; to be a team player within the ACE family and who are as committed to the success and future of ACE Winches as we are to them.

WHAT WOULD THE ACE WINCHES GRADUATE SCHEME MEAN FOR YOU?

Our four-year scheme consists of two years of initial professional development, followed by two years of increasing responsibility where our graduates will move into a full-time assignment within the Engineering Department. At the end of the programme, our graduates should be able to apply for Chartered Engineer status, providing all required competencies of the UK-SPEC have been met.

Rotations

Rotations include hands on experience in the workshops plus secondments to the sales, technical support and projects departments to give graduates the knowledge and experience of working in a fast-paced environment, and how these departments interlink with engineering.

Mentoring

Graduates are mentored until the end of the four-year programme by those who have been identified as role models and who can encourage, educate and share career successes.
