ACE Winches welcomes Peter Chapman MSP and local Councillors to its global headquarters

ACE Winches, leading global deck machinery specialists, welcomed Peter Chapman, MSP and 10 local councillors to its global headquarters in Turriff, Aberdeenshire.  Ahead of the local elections next month, the company was delighted to open its doors to local councillors and have the opportunity to showcase the specialised deck machinery which is designed and manufactured in North East Scotland.

Peter Chapman MSP was accompanied by Jayne James Duff, Chairman East Aberdeenshire Scottish Conservative & Unionist, Mike Roy - Banff and District, Mark Findlater – Troup, Andy Kille - Fraserburgh and District, Dianne Beagrie - Peterhead North, Marion Buchan - Central Buchan, Iain Taylor - Turriff and District, Gillian Owen - Ellon and District, Jim Gifford - Mid Formartine and Colin Clark - Inverurie and District.

The group were welcomed by Alfie Cheyne, CEO and Valerie Cheyne, Chief Compliance Officer and during the morning had the opportunity to meet with Richard Wilson, Chief Operations Officer, senior management and members of staff.  The group enjoyed a tour of the facilities, which included R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing and support services, as well as gaining an insight into ACE Winches international profile across the globe.

International trade is a core element for ACE Winches, and its full range of specialised deck machinery is mobilised to over 50 plus countries spanning 7 continents. Over 75 percent of the company’s business is from overseas projects from oil & gas, marine, ports, marine, civil engineering, decommissioning and offshore renewable sectors. 

He continued, “We were delighted to welcome MSP, Peter Chapman and the local councillors to showcase our global business that is operated from Aberdeenshire and share our successes with them.”
