Over recent years, ACE Winches has been recognised formally by industry and its peers by receiving a number of awards at both local and national level.  Winning the awards is testament to the hard work and commitment shown by ACE Winches' employees and reflects the desire and drive by the ACE Winches team as a whole to continually demonstrate excellence and quality throughout all aspects of its operations worldwide.

    THE QUEEN’S AWARD FOR ENTERPRISE: INTERNATIONAL TRADE 2013 AND 2010

    The Queen’s Awards for International Trade Award recognises companies that have demonstrated growth in overseas earnings.  For the successful entry, ACE Winches was also required to demonstrate the effects of the company’s activities and practices under several remits, including Impact on Society, Environmental Impact, Relations with Suppliers, Partners and Contractors, Relations with Employees and Relations with Customers – a declaration of corporate responsibility.


    HEALTHY WORKING LIVES SILVER AWARD

    ACE Winches has recently been accredited with the Healthy Working Lives Silver Award which demonstrates the company's commitment to healthy living within the workplace.


    SUNDAY TIMES PWC PROFIT TRACK 100 “ONES TO RECOGNISE AWARD”

    ACE Winches was named winner of the prestigious Sunday Times PwC Profit Track 100 'Ones to Recognise' Award.  The award singled out ACE Winches as a company that has demonstrated good profit growth, and is set to grow rapidly in the future.


    SCDI BP AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY 2012

    The Award was presented to Alfie Cheyne by former US Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, in recognition of the company’s significant international growth in the oil and gas supply chain market.


    AGCC NORTHERN STAR OVERALL MEDIUM BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD 2012

    Awarded to the company that shown the most commitment to developing its staff through skills and personal development, investment and achievement programmes and outcomes.


    2012 INSTITUTE OF DIRECTORS GLOBAL DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR

    Alfie Cheyne, CEO has been announced Global Director of the Year 2012 by the Institute of Directors at the UK finals.  IoD Scotland Executive Director, David Watt said "Alfie thoroughly deserves the recognition of being named Global Director of the Year.  His leadership has helped the business demonstrate high growth and worldwide reach to become a global leader in its field.  This is a prestigious accolade and one which he has earned thanks to his creative decision making, energy and drive."

    Recognising directors at the forefront of leadership excellence. Alfie was eligible to enter after winning the Aberdeen and Grampian Regional IoD Director of the Year Awards.


    SPE OFFSHORE ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS FOR EXPORTS 2012

    The Export Achievement Award recognised business growth resulting from successful development of export activity in the offshore energy sector (oil and gas and all forms of renewables). The judges looked for evidence that businesses had instigated a clear and thorough export strategy and planning process, identified key export markets, achieved a successful market entry strategy and captured market share.


    SPE OFFSHORE ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS GREAT LARGE COMPANY 2012 - HIGHLY COMMENDED

    The Great Large Company Performance Award recognises excellence in large company performance in the offshore energy sector (oil and gas and all forms of renewables). The judges sought evidence of the company’s success – including continuous growth and development of the company, clear strategic direction and strong product / service differentiation. Clear evidence of plans for the future success and growth of the company – both within the UK and internationally.


    2010 ERNST & YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR

    Alfie Cheyne was selected as an Ernst & Young Scotland Entrepreneur of the Year 2010, recognising the contribution of people who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement.


    2010 GRAMPIAN AWARDS FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS

    ACE Winches won the Business Success (Over 3 years) award at the Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise 2010. The award is for the business that has achieved exceptional, sustainable organic growth in any market sector. ACE Winches’ outstanding ability to articulate a clear strategy for growth, with key performance indicators for its success to date, secured the winning trophy.


    SCOTTISH OFFSHORE ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS 2010

    The Export Achievement Award was awarded to ACE Winches in March 2010. The award recognises business growth resulting from successful development of export activity in the oil and gas sector.


    2009 THE GRAMPIAN AWARDS FOR BUSINESS ENTERPRISE, ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR

    Alfie Cheyne was formally recognised for the continued success of ACE Winches at the 2009 Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise.  He was named winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the annual ceremony, organised by Enterprise North East Trust to celebrate business achievement and entrepreneurship.
