Ship Bollard Pull Testing
From its Norwegian operating base, ACE Winches has been performing Bollard Pull Testing of up to 700te for ship owners and shipyards for more than a decade.
ACE Winches’ unique computer programme is designed to show and compare all tests in a variety of ways and in accordance with the client or third party's specifications. All equipment used is manually and/or radio controlled.

Testing process
The testing process includes one load cell/shackle which operates with a radio system, receiver, PC and printer. This is based on a suitable wire rope onboard the ship being tested. Testing can be supervised by DNV, ABS, Lloyds or any other qualified regulator to ensure operations are executed at a safe distance from the load cell/shackle.
Harbour authorities require a guard ship to prevent any unwanted accidents. ACE Winches can arrange this service and can also supply wire-rope, shackles and ancillary equipment.
ACE Winches is equipped with wire spoolers ranging from 50te to 250te and back tension of up to 50te at 2 metres.
